My photo studio is an ideal space for amateurs in photography and pros to shoot in a relaxed atmosphere. There are many different accessories available so you can also do some experimenting if you want.
I can help you get started if you appreciate that but generally tenants take care of everything themselves.
It is not a problem if there is a setback and it all takes a little longer, because I plan the rentals so that some extended time is possible.
In short, it is the perfect location to work undisturbed.
My photo studio is located in unit C018 on the first floor of Bink36(www.bink36.nl), near to The Hague Central Station. The studio measures 7.5 x 5 x 4.5 meters (dxwxh) and has a lot of equipment and accessories available.
Note: Space is limited so unfortunately not suitable for more than 4 people at a time.
The photo studio is often used by web shops for their product photography.
There is a small countertop, a sink with hot and cold water, refrigerator and facilities to make coffee/tea.
The photo studio is located just off the motorway and is easily accessible by public transport (a 10-minute walk from Central Station and Hollands Spoor). Parking at the studio is on private property and is free for the first two hours, then €4/hour.

The studio is versatile and very affordable! Ideal for product photography for web shops, model photography, business portraits or a fun maternity shoot.
Also for rent is the full frame Nikon D700 (with 1.8 50mm lens) and the professional Sony PMW-EX1 video camera and the Manfrotto 525MVB video tripod, continuous light bulbs.
1. Hiring begins, of course, with an email or phone call to see if your desired date and times are still available.
2. When you hire with me for the first time, we meet in the studio once beforehand. I will then explain the layout of the studio, so where to find everything as well as the house rules of Bink36.
3. One day before you start renting you will receive a key code from me with which you can take the key to the studio on the day of the photography.
If you rent outside standard opening hours (after 7:30 p.m. and on weekends), you will also need an access card to enter the building. If that applies to you I’ll talk to you about how to get that card.
NOTES. If you don’t have photographic studio experience yet, it’s better to take a studio workshop with me first to make sure you get the results you’re looking for.

My CV
The Hague
My cradle was on Sonoy Street. That’s where I grew up with my older brother. Fortunately, I went through elementary and middle school without many problems.
Sports / Rugby
I focused mainly on my sport from the age of thirteen: rugby at HRC (Haagse Rugby Club). I had a fantastic time there. That period taught me a lot and it has shaped ‘today’s Leon’ to a large extent. After I finished secondary school, I went to the HALO at the Laan van Poot to study to become a ‘Physical Education teacher’. I had always wanted to be a PE teacher and in 1986 I started teaching at the Nederlands Lyceum and the Scholengemeenschap Zuid-Walland. Which later became the Johan de Witt College.
Photography
When I was still in high school I was already experimenting with photography, in those days still analog, of course. I had the luxury of a darkroom in my childhood home and experienced the magic of working in a darkroom early on. It is actually only fairly recently that I have made photography my profession.
In 2017, I obtained my Master’s degree in Photography from Staffordshire University. I now teach photography and video classes at the Hague University and have my own photo studio in The Hague (Bink36.nl) where I enjoy creating autonomous work.
My all-time examples and idols are Erwin Olaf, Helmut Newton and Ellen von Unwerth.
